back from paris. july 2011

Brought this dirty, freaky little thing home with me from a Parisian
antique market. never before was I into antique dolls, something
has happen to me lately, this one so reminds me of my
grandmother lola... of course I may end up totally changing her
painted face, but for now I will take my time to look for inspiration,
want to do something really special with her :)))

on the back some WIP heads I'm working on at the moment....

digital drawing. february 2011.

Bought my first wacom tablet few weeks ago, kinda scary and strange to draw
again, not to mention on a tablet, thought it will be much easier, but… I guess
with all things, it's all about doing and practicing, and less talking :)

This is the first sketch I've made, it is first step before I'll try working with color
on photoshop.

welll...update on this long ago posted "soon", there will be no soon,
these dolls are doomed !!! The material I was working with at
the time, turned out to be very heavy and quite breakable.
So I will not finish them probably, who knows, maybe I'll find something
creative to do with them in the future. They are quite beautiful as they are,
white and still and heavy as timeless antique marble sculptures...gazing at
me from the shelf with an anguish in their eyes...
